Empower Your Home-Based Business with Action
When you work from home, you likely fall into the category of being self-employed, especially if you're an entrepreneur. If you're just working a job from home, this article might not have the same significance as it does for an entrepreneur. For entrepreneurs who aspire to work from home, I assume you've already done your homework. If you haven't, I recommend checking out my previous articles under my name for guidance.
So, let's imagine you've sat down and mapped out your goals for your home-based business—fantastic! You're off to a great start. Now, let's also assume that, as an entrepreneur, you're quite ambitious. You've set a goal or destination that's uncharted territory for you. That's excellent! Why aim for something you've already accomplished? Let's venture into the unknown.
Now, here's the challenge: Your goal or destination is currently in the realm of the unknown, at least to you. Achieving it will require a shift in your thinking and the effort you've put in thus far. As Einstein wisely noted, "The current set of problems we face will not be solved by the same level of thinking that got us there." Similarly, you won't reach your desired destination using the same thinking and effort that brought you to your current position.
To reach your goal, you need to do at least two things. First, seek out thoughts that are different from what you've had before. Second, take actions you've never taken before. To obtain these new thoughts, connect with individuals who are either at your desired point or much closer to it. Find others who work from home and have achieved remarkable success, perhaps within your company or in the broader industry. If you're truly working alone, invest in books, tapes, and courses created by people who have successfully pursued home-based businesses. Consider seeking coaching from someone with a proven track record in the field.
Once you've grasped the mindset and thoughts required to reach your destination, you must take action. Remember that the fear of taking action can lead to failure. So, take action to propel yourself toward your goals.
Here's a valuable decision-making guideline: First, ask yourself if the action you're considering will move you closer to your goals. Second, determine if the action might cause harm or violate anyone's rights. If your answers are "yes" and "no" respectively, then you must take the action immediately. This approach is how successful individuals who work from home operate. To accelerate your progress, take more action. Even in the face of fear, taking action is the key. After all, what's the alternative? Think about it.
